human design for writers
a 1-day virtual or in-person retreat for women
Write in alignment with your energy, not against it.
You don’t need more discipline. You don’t need another productivity system. You don’t need to force yourself to write like someone else.
You need a writing practice that fits your energetic design.
Hosted by Janna Maron, book coach & editor, and Nicole Timewell, Human Design practitioner and intuitive strategist, Human Design for Writers is a one-day experience available live online and in person in Sacramento. It is a day designed to help you understand how you are meant to create, focus, and move words onto the page. This is not about fixing yourself. It’s about remembering how you work—and letting your writing flow from there.
What This Day Is About
Human Design is a system that reveals how you’re designed to:
- use and replenish your energy
- make decisions
- engage with work and creativity
- recognize where resistance and burnout come from
In this experience, we’ll translate Human Design specifically for writers, so you can:
- stop fighting your natural rhythms
- understand why certain writing advice never worked for you
- build a practice that feels sustainable and true
- reconnect with your voice through guided reflection and writing time
This day is spacious, grounding, and deeply practical—equal parts insight and actual writing.

Your Hosts are Two Manifestors Here to Catalyze Your Creativity
Janna Maron
I’m Janna, founder of More to the Story and your dedicated guide on this journey. I’ve spent over a decade coaching women to craft voice-driven nonfiction books that resonate and transform. My work combines practical strategy with soulful support, helping you move through blocks, doubts, and overwhelm to bring your stories to life.
I believe in writing as a spiritual practice, a form of self-discovery, and a way to connect deeply with others. My approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and the understanding that every writer’s path is unique.
And, trust me, as a 1/3 Emotional Manifestor my catalyzing energy is not contained to writing & books—many artists, creatives, and business owners have felt a surge of inspiration and motivation after a single, brief conversation with me.
More officially, I am a book coach and editor with nearly 20 years of experience helping writers to complete their projects and produce the best work possible. My experience includes time as a magazine editor, college professor, agency editorial director, and content director for a popular internet brand. I have worked on a number of book projects from self-published Amazon bestsellers to traditionally published New York Times bestsellers. I’m also the founding editor and publisher of Under the Gum Tree, a literary arts magazine publishing creative nonfiction and visual art.
Nicole Timewell
I’m Nicole, a Human Design practitioner. I offer a clear, grounded approach to helping people understand their energy and make aligned decisions. With years of experience studying and applying Human Design in both my personal development and business, I blend practical insight with intuitive clarity to help clients break old patterns, trust their inner authority, and create more flow in their lives.
My work centers on teaching people how to read their own energetic mechanics—strategy, authority, centers, and conditioning—so they can move through life with confidence instead of confusion. I break down complex Human Design concepts into simple, actionable guidance that people can use immediately.
I have guided individuals through deconditioning and energetic alignment, allowing them to reframe their world around what works best for their specific energy type. As a 3/5 Emotional Manifestor I bring lived experience and experimentation to help others reconnect with who they truly are beneath years of conditioning.
My mission is to empower you to trust yourself, make aligned moves, and live from the truth of your own energy.
